TGS 2010: PixelJunk Lifelike gets live-action trailer

PixelJunk lifelike Logo A live-‘action’ trailer for Q-Games’ next project, PixelJunk Lifelike, recently went out around Mother Internet, and features two of the title’s contributors, Omar Cornut and musician/artist Baiyon, running around a picturesque forest with a few PlayStation Move Motion Controllers in hand.

Of course, the trailer also features some funky, funky beats. This is a PixelJunk game after all!

Or is it?

Not quite. According to a report over on Kotaku, and after speaking to Q-Games founder Dylan Cuthbert, it turns out that PixelJunk Lifelike is a music visualiser which uses the PlayStation Move to enhance the experience, perhaps using the motion of the controller to manipulate the visuals.

The title will come standard with over 40 minutes of original music from Baiyon, as well as artwork from the talented fellow. This will come as good news to PixelJunk Eden fans, as this is the man you’ve got to thank for that game’s art direction and funky music.

You’ll also be able to use your own MP3s in PixelJunk Lifelike if you copy that music over to your PS3, and import it for use in the game.

Although there’s currently no release date attached to PixelJunk Lifelike, you can watch the first trailer (which may or may not contain actual footage from the title) below:
