At a low-key event held in Ueno, Tokyo recently, the head of Japanese developer Team Ninja, Yosuke Hayashi, announced that a third Ninja Gaiden game is in the works at the studio.
Referred to as Ninja Gaiden 3 during the presentation, the title currently has no confirmed platform, and considering Team Ninja has, in the past, targeted Microsoft’s Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles under the leadership of previous studio head Tomonobu Itagaki, nothing can be assumed at the moment…
… that being said, it’s probably safe to assume Ninja Gaiden 3 will release on both Xbox 360 and PS3.
Hardly anything was revealed about the title with regards to gameplay, story or anything else, but, once again, it might be safe to assume that Ninja Gaiden 3 will feature Ryu Hayabusa fighting demons and monsters with a variety of blades and special attacks.
Severed limbs, graphical splendour and a poor camera system may or may not also feature.
