Despite a 58% drop in sales compared to the week previous, 2K’s mobster-themed action game Mafia II has managed to remain at the top of Chart Track’s UK Software Sales listing for the third week in a row, fending off advances from Ubisoft’s HAWX 2, as well as a host of new releases.
Tom Clancy’s HAWX 2 (sales up 66%) flies up to No. 2 from No. 10 last week, thanks in part to the release of the PS3 version of the game. Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days (sales down 50%) steps down one place to No. 3, but Toy Story sits firm and No. 4.
Tetris Party Deluxe takes a shot at No. 5 after an appearance at No. 23 last week, and heads up three debut titles on the chart in the form of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions at No. 6, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep at No. 7, and RUSE at No. 8.
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is another non-mover at No. 9, and Red Dead Redemption tumbles to No. 10 from No. 5 last week to round out the coveted Top Ten.
