The European and US PlayStation Blogs have provided some key pieces of information for Heavy Rain fans this fine day, letting everybody know when we’ll be able to pick up a copy of the PlayStation Move-enabled edition of the game, or simply download the free patch that adds in the functionality.
There are a few release dates for Heavy Rain Move Edition here, so let’s do this bullet-point style:
- North America: September 22nd
- UK, Ireland: 8th October 2010
- Australia & New Zealand: 7th October 2010
- Rest of PAL: 6th October 2010
Included in Heavy Rain Move Edition will be the following:
- The Taxidermist playable scene
- 3 x dynamic XMB themes for your PS3
- Full game stereo soundtrack
- Making Of videos: There are 9 Making Of videos totaling in around 45 minutes in length. They feature a behind the scenes insight into the game’s development with interviews from the development team and the game’s cast.
Additionally, on September 22nd all owners of Heavy Rain will be able to download a free automatic update to patch in PlayStation Move functionality. Perfect!
If you’re not too sure about those wily motion controls just yet, you’ll be able to try out a demo set to release on the PlayStation Store very soon – for Europeans, a Move-enabled Heavy Rain demo will appear on the store on September 15th, while North American Store browsers will find it on September 28th. The demo will feature two levels from the full game.
