Apparently confirmed in the latest issue of UK magazine, PSM3, next year’s Batman: Arkham City action adventure game will definitely contain a multiplayer component, but other than that mere morsel of info, no further details have emerged.
A quote from the magazine reveals that “Multiplayer is a certainty, but [there are] no details on this yet.”
It’s unknown whether or not this means a cooperative element will be present in Arkham City, or a full online multiplayer portion will be included with teams, characters and ranks, but with the myriad of announced characters and the potential for all kinds of plot twists and storyline intermingling, a co-op feature would be the safe bet.
Not to mention the exciting bet!
Have a good rummage through El33tonline’s previous looks at Batman: Arkham City for a batch of newly released screenshots, as well as tons of information on the game’s story setup.

We can only hope that the multiplayer will be as good as Lego Batman.
