Bungie has confirmed that Halo: Reach has gone gold, nearly a month and a half before the game is scheduled to hit shelves.
The news comes from Bungie executive producer Joseph Tung who confirmed that the final instalment in the Halo franchise had indeed gone gold in an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald.
According to Tung, “We went gold last night, so yeah, it’s pretty much in the can. It’s bittersweet for me personally. Everyone at Bungie loves the universe. We created the universe, have been working in it for 10 years. But I think everyone is really excited about what we are working on next.”
Earlier in the week Tung confirmed that the game is “essentially complete” and that it had been sent off to Xbox Certification.
Halo: Reach will be available worldwide for the Xbox 360 on the 14th of September. Don’t be shy to flip through our previous coverage to see just what kind of action you can look forward to.
