A brand new set of downloadable content (DLC) has just been revealed for 2K Marin’s excellent Bioshock 2, and like the just-released Protector Trials Pack, this content will once again be singleplayer focussed.
Entitled Minerva’s Den, this new DLC will see players getting into the role of an all-new character while meeting new characters in new locations, exploring a new mystery in a self-contained narrative set in the underwater dystopian city of Rapture.
You’ll team up with a character familiar to the Bioshock franchise, Brigid Tenenbaum, to get to the bottom of mysterious goings on in a key district of Rapture.
Now this is sounding more like the singleplayer content we’ve been waiting for!
2K Games president Christoph Hartmann said of the new DLC:
“Minerva’s Den is a substantial addition that will give players more of what they’re looking for: more story, more narrative, more gameplay and more of Rapture. The core team has created an exciting product that further enhances the mystery and allure of the world of Rapture. Minerva’s Den will be a fitting conclusion to the BioShock 2 saga.”
