Following the reveal of Game Informer’s next cover featuring the game, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has officially unveiled Rocksteady Studios’ next title, Batman: Arkham City.
Currently in development for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms and set for an ‘Autumn’ 2011 release, Batman: Arkham City will build upon the “intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security ‘home’ for all of Gotham City’s thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds.”
The game will be set inside this heavily fortified new location – a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City – and will introduce a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains wrapped up in a brand-new story, while bringing “a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight.”
Batman: Arkham Asylum was awesome, so you’d best start getting exciting for Batman: Arkham City.
