The time has come! Twisted Pixel and Microsoft Game Studios have today jointly announced an official release date for the developer’s awesome upcoming game, Comic Jumper!
In addition, Twisted Pixel has revealed the fourth comic style to be included in Comic Jumper, and it’s none other than the unmistakable Japanese art technique of Manga!
On October 6th this year, and for a mere 1200 MS Points via Xbox LIVE Marketplace, you’ll be able to purchase and download Comic Jumper, as part of a special promotion of Xbox LIVE Arcade games called ‘Game Feast.’
To celebrate this news, Twisted Pixel will be giving away prizes and letting would-be gamers try out Comic Jumper at this year’s PAX Prime in Seattle.
Here’s the story setup for Comic Jumper and a look at the game’s protagonist, ‘The Captain’:
“The Captain is a superhero extraordinaire and prima donna star of his own comic book series that spans literally tens of readers. After he gets cancelled, Twisted Pixel swoops in, ready to pay him minimum wage to be our lab rat with our new Comic Jumper technology – hiring him out to other comic books to come in and save their storylines when things go wrong.”
Comic Jumper will come complete with a Premium Theme for Xbox 360, as well as Gamerpics and free Xbox LIVE Avatar accessories, while ‘Splosion Man fans will get two free “extra-long” levels for that game – one for singleplayer and one for multiplayer! Amazing!
Additionally, the fourth art style included in Comic Jumper, Manga, has been announced, examples of which you can see below:
Lastly, Twisted Pixel and Comic Jumper will be at PAX Prime this weekend to give attendees a chance to try the game out for themselves, as well as stand in line to win custom ‘Comic Jumper’ Xbox 360 consoles (see image below). You’ll also be able to win free shirts, statuettes, and other giveaways.
Look out for Comic Jumper, releasing soon on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, and rummage through El33tonline’s previous coverage of the game for more information and a couple videos.
