Nintendo of America released a calendar of their upcoming titles earlier today, with almost all games mentioned getting firm dates.
There’s nothing particularly new in the Wii’s line-up, other than confirmation of FlingSmash actually being released and reconfirmation of Kirby’s 2010 release, October 2010 to be precise. Donkey Kong Country Returns was also confirmed to be released on 21 November.
Here is the full list of Wii games:
- Metroid: Other M - 31 August
- Samurai Warriors 3 - 27 September
- Wii Party - 3 October
- Kirby’s Epic Yarn - 17 October
- PokéPark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure - 1 November
- FlingSmash - 7 November
- Donkey Kong Country Returns - 21 November
They also confirmed release dates of some third party Wii releases:
- New Carnival Games (2K Play) - 21 September
- NBA JAM (EA Sports) - 5 October
- Just Dance 2 (Ubisoft) - 12 October
- GoldenEye 007 (Activision) - November
- Sonic Colors (SEGA) - 16 November
- Disney Epic Mickey (Disney Interactive) - this holiday season
It seems Europe gets Last Window: The Secret of Cape West this year but Nintendo of America is waiting on it. Meanwhile, America gets Kirby soon and Europe has to wait for Q1 2011.
The DS schedule is not looking quite as strong as the Wii’s:
- Professor Layton and the Unwound Future - 12 September
- Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs - 4 October
- Art Academy - 25 October
- Mario vs Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! - 14 November
And games coming from third-parties:
- Super Scribblenauts (Warner Bros) - October
- Final Fantasy the 4 Heroes of Light (Square Enix) - 5 October
- Rock Band 3 (EA/MTV) - 29 October
The only noticeable difference between Europe and America this time is Mario vs Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! coming this year in the US instead of Q1 2011 in Europe, and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn seems to have been bumped to a 2011 release in the US.
Finally, Nintendo indicated some upcoming WiiWare games (although no mention was made of the Virtual Console):
- And Yet It Moves (Broken Rules) - 23 August
- BIT.TRIP FATE - Fall
- Super Meat Boy (Team Meat) - holidays
And on DSiWare:
- Need for Speed Nitro-X (EA) - 20 September
