Media Create Japanese Software Sales for week ending 4th July: Inazuma Eleven 3 challenges the world (and wins)

Inazuma Eleven 3 Box ArtMedia Create’s Japanese Software Sales chart gets a good shake up this week with the appearance of a bunch of new DS titles, and one new PS3 title, the most pervasive of which is surely Inazuma Eleven 3: World Challenge!! from Level 5 for the DS.

Inazuma Eleven 3 managed to sell an incredible 505 000 copies during its debut week on sale, easily ranking No. 1 on the chart, while fellow DS debutant, Taiko Drum Master DS: Dororon! Battle With the Ghouls!! ‘only’ sold 70 000 units for the week, earning it a No. 2 position.

A new PS3 title, Blazblue Continuum: Shift did well to invade 50 000 Japanese homes, allowing it to chart at No. 3, while Nintendo’s stalwart, Super Mario Galaxy 2 on Wii sold 35 000 units, placing it at No. 4 (up from No. 5 last week) and helping the game rack up 648 000 units life-to-date.

Another new title, Digimon Story: Lost Evolution for the DS charts at No. 5 with 34 000 units, last week’s No. 2, Love Plus + for the DS now sits at No. 6 with 21 000 copies sold for the week, and Tokimeki Memorial: Girl’s Side 3rd Story for DS shifts down to No. 7 from No. 4 last week with 20 000 units.

World Soccer Winning Eleven 2010: Blue Samurai Challenge for PS3 earns a place in the Top Ten again with 19 000 units, charting at No. 8 from No. 12, Art Academy moves into No. 9 with 19 000 units sold, and World Soccer Winning Eleven 2010: Blue Samurai Challenge for PSP sits at No. 10 with 16 000 copies sold for the week.
