An excellent new trailer for Hudson’s Lost in Shadow action platformer has emerged showcasing the game’s unique light and shadow gameplay, as the protagonist ‘shadow boy’ becomes a being of light with a more physical presence in the world.

Transforming into a light creature will enable the boy to perform actions that he wouldn’t ordinarily be able to as a shadow, helping him solve puzzles and progress in this less physical form.

The trailer is also excellent for another reason: It announces a Western release date for Lost in Shadow on the Wii.

Although the game has already been released in Japan, Western Wii gamers can expect to find Lost in Shadow on store shelves come January 4th, 2011. As that will be a Tuesday, this is presumably the US release date, with a European date (hopefully) to follow.
