When you woke up today, was there an inexplicable feeling in the pit of your stomach? A hunger that you just couldn’t place? A mysterious malaise in search of a cure?
When you dragged yourself out of bed this morning, was there a chance you felt the Need For Speed… World open beta?
It’s a good thing that you did (shush if you didn’t) because EA has announced that the five day long Need For Speed World open beta begins today.
From 10am PST today, July 2nd, until Monday July 5th, eager racing fans will be able to register on the Need For Speed website and enter the beta for this massively multiplayer online action racing game for the PC.
The official Need For Speed World blog post started speaking a little gibberish after the announcement, but it may mean something to those of you who’ve already taken part in the closed portions of the beta. From the post:
“Plus, as a bonus, your accounts will not be wiped and the Chicken Run community race will continue, so make sure you grab a screenshot of your time and email it to kirk(at)needforspeed.com.”
Chickenz runningz? What kind of crazy stuff happens in Need For Speed World?
You’ll be able to find out for yourself starting today with the open beta, I guess.
Need For Speed World launches on July 20th on the PC, and if you’re a little shaky on your knowledge of the game, don’t sweat it! Simply head on over to El33tonline’s previous coverage of the game to get some awesome screenshots, videos, and extra information.
