Everybody’s favourite ‘casual’ game developer, PopCap Games, has announced that the studio’s latest hit title, Plants VS Zombies, will be arriving on Xbox LIVE Arcade later this year with all new content and features.
With a planned launch of “early September,” it seems no-one will be safe from PopCap’s charming tower defence game that pits the invading forces of shambling dead against the indomitable spirit and vitality of flora.
The Xbox LIVE Arcade version of Plants VS Zombies will go for an asking price of 1200 MS Points, and include the following features:
- A total of seven game modes, including two new multiplayer modes: Co-Op and Vs. Mode
- 12 achievements and 21 mini-games – more than any other adaptation, and including the exclusive Heavy Weapon-inspired mini-game
- A goofy new way to track and share progress online, where players create their own custom house and cruise down the street to see their friends’ cribs!
- The highest resolution of any Plants vs. Zombies adaptation to date at 1920 x 1080
- All 50 levels of the original Adventure mode along with Puzzle, Survival, and Zen Garden
In addition, a retail boxed edition of Plants VS Zombies for the Xbox 360 will release later this year, as well as a ‘Game of the Year’ edition of the original game - a limited number of which, PopCap says, will include a zombie figurine. Awesome!
