Nintendo’s Wii Party has debuted at number 1 on the Media Create Japanese Software Chart, selling an impressive 235 000 copies in its opening week. White Knight Chronicles: Awakening of Light and Darkness for the PS3 also makes a good debut, nipping at Wii Party’s heels to earn second place with 176 000 copies.

Inazuma Eleven 3: World Challenge for the DS drops to number 3 with 98 000 copies, this after debuting at number 1 last week with a whopping 505 000 copies. Harvest Moon: Twin Villages for the DS enters the chart at number 4 with 64 000 copies while another DS title, Taiko Drum Master DS: Dororon! Battle with the Ghouls, moves down to fifth position with 31 000 copies after debuting at number 2 last week.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 slips down two places to sixth place with 26 000 copies. Meanwhile Crackdown 2 for the Xbox 360 debuts at number 7 with a paltry 15 000 copies and Friend Collection for the DS re-enters the Top 10, climbing up five places to number 8 with 13 000 copies. World Soccer Winning Eleven 2010: Blue Samurai Challenge for the PS3 drops one place to ninth with 12 000 copies while the PSP version rounds off the Top 10, finishing at number 10 with 12 000 copies.

With four new entries in the Top 10 this week, a few titles take a tumble. Art Academy drops to number 11 while Love Plus + moves down six places to twelfth. Tokimeki Memorial: Girl’s Side 3rd Story falls to number 13 while BlazBlue: Continuum Shift for the PS3 plummets to number 17 after debuting at number 3 last week with 50 000 copies. Digimon Story: Lost Evolution also crashes, falling to number 26 from fifth last week. Toy Story 3 for the DS debuts at number 30.
