UK Software Charts: Crackdown 2 runs riot for week of July 10th

Microsoft’s Crackdown 2 has read the riot act and managed to calm the advances of other titles up Chart Track’s UK Software Sales chart this past week, claiming the No. 1 spot on the listing while no-one was looking.

This position represents Microsoft’s first No. 1 All Formats chart ranking for 2010, and betters the debut chart appearance of the original Crackdown by one place.

This means that, after a good run at the top, LEGO Harry Potter has to slip down to No. 2, forcing Red Dead Redemption down a place, from No. 2 to No. 3.

Last week’s debut title, Dance on Broadway from Ubisoft, doubles its sales from the week previous and climbs to No. 4 from No. 6, while 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is a non-mover at No. 5. Super Mario Galaxy 2 tumbles down to No. 6 from No. 3 last week, and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 makes similar moves down to No. 7.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a non-mover at No. 8, Just Dance shifts to No. 9 from No. 7, and UFC Undisputed 2010 leaps to No. 10 from No. 18.

Outside of the Top Ten, Pokepark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure debuts at No. 25.
