Bioware has announced that a new set of downloadable content (DLC) will be appearing next month for the developer’s massive (enormous, gigantic, gargantuan) fantasy RPG, Dragon Age: Origins.

Named “Leliana’s Song,” the DLC will allow players to take on the role of the young bard Leliana, who currently finds herself mixed up in a deal of bother, after becoming involved in a criminal ring that apparently deals in political secrets.

“Accompanying her mentor Marjolaine on a high-risk mission,” reads the description, “Leliana soon finds herself entangled in a game of intrigue that she cannot escape with just her beauty, charm, or stealth. The only way out of this game is to kill or be killed.”

The DLC will explore Leliana’s past and explain why she joined the Chantry. In addition, the adventure will be fully voiced, and on completion of the DLC, you’ll be able to unlock a unique reward which will transfer into your Dragon Age: Origins and Awakening game.

Leliana’s Song will be available on July 6th on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC for $7 (560 MS Points, and 560 Bioware Points).
