Nintendo has knocked itself off the top spot on the Japanese software chart as Xenoblade for the Wii debuts at number 1 with 83 000 copies. After two weeks spent at the top Super Mario Galaxy 2 drops to number 2 with a measly 73 000 copies. However, before you’re too hard on the poor plumber do bear in mind that life-to-date sales for Mario’s latest intergalactic adventure stand at 518 000 copies for the week ending the 13th of June.

Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City for the PS3 debuts at number 3 with 64 000 copies while the Xbox 360 version is new at number 18.

Mega Man Zero Collection for the DS debuts at number 4 with 22 000 copies and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 slides two places to fifth with 19 000 copies. Just Cause 2 for the PS3 enters the chart at number 6 with 16 000 copies - in case you were wondering where the Xbox 360 version debuted, it entered a lot lower down the chart at number 24.

Fairy Tail: Portable Guild drops five places to number 7 with 13 000 copies after debuting at number 2 last week and World Soccer Winning Eleven 2010 for the PS3 climbs one spot to eighth with 13 000 copies. Friend Collection for the DS also moves up one place to number 9 with 12 000 copies while New Super Mario Bros. Wii re-enters the Top 10, finishing the week at number 10 with 12 000 copies.

With four new entries into the Top 10 this week, quite a few titles take the plunge downwards. Let’s Make a Pro Soccer Club! for the DS drops to number 11 (last week’s number 4) while Lost Planet 2 for the PS3 finishes at number 12 (last week’s number 5), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for the PSP drops seven places to number 14 while Medarot DS moves down to number 15 (last week’s number 8).
