A new Metal Gear Solid stealth action title from Kojima Productions may well be making its way to the Nintendo 3DS sometime soon, following the reveal of a technical demonstration from the team called Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D - “The Naked Sample.”
According to Twitter activity from studio head Hideo Kojima, Naked Sample is a prototype used to experiment with the stereoscopic 3D technology offered with the 3DS, especially created for E3 2010, and also used to test what kind of stealth game can be made with the technology.
The wording “The Naked Sample” refers to the fact that you can see the 3D effect with the ‘naked’ eye, and also means that the game is a ‘sample’ of a more fully realised idea.
It’s not yet clear whether or not MGS: Snake Eater 3D - “The Naked Sample” would end up being a port of the PlayStation 2 Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, a sequel, or something else.
