‘The Japanese Gears of War,’ Quantum Theory, looks very… interesting. On the back of that bizarre “Gotta’ Kill It” trailer, the action shooter has been shown off in more detail during E3 2010, and that ‘Japanese Gears of War’ moniker has been enforced stronger than ever.
I’m going to say Quantum Theory is looking very ‘busy,’ graphically. Textures in the game are extremely detailed, almost to the game’s detriment, making for a visually confusing aesthetic.
Gameplay-wise, however, if you know about Gears of War, you’ll know what to expect from Quantum Theory, with the inclusion of the cover-based shooting mechanic, combined with (again) an ‘interesting’ companion ability, which you can see in action below with a screenshot blowout and a couple videos below:
