Ubisoft has announced its intentions to release a new game based on the legendary ‘King of Pop,’ Michael Jackson, in partnership with The Estate of Michael Jackson.
The game, inspired by Michael Jackson and currently known only as Michael Jackson: The Game, is said to be a “performance-based” game that is “family entertainment at its best,” and will aim to provide an interactive experience that enables players to re-live some of Jackson’s most iconic musical performances through their own singing and dancing.
The game is set to include Michael Jackson’s most famous songs (with ‘Beat It’ and ‘Billie Jean’ given as examples), as well as an “array” of the amazing dance moves that made him such a spectacle to watch on-stage – moves that the game will teach players how to emulate, all while singing.
Michael Jackson: The Game will become available this Holiday season on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii and DS, and will be compatible with the Xbox 360’s Kinect and the PlayStation 3’s Move motion-based gaming devices.
