[Update] Added the first in-game footage from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and a gameplay montage. Catch it below. [End of Update]
During Nintendo’s E3 2010 press conference today, the company’s star designer Shigeru Miyamoto arrived on stage to announce the next Legend of Zelda title for the Wii.
The next Zelda game is called The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and emphasises the use of the sword and shield in a natural way, using the Wii’s motion-controls to swing the sword.
Overall, Skyward Sword looks very similar to Twilight Princess, but just slightly cel-shaded, and a teensy bit more cartoony.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword releases in 2011 on the Wii.
