EA manages to break Ubisoft’s 4-week run in the top spot on the UK’s Software Chart, as 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa debuts at number 1. Not really surprising given that this is the World Cup themed version of the tenth biggest selling game ever in the UK, FIFA 10.

The PS3 version of the game was tops with 48%, just ahead of the Xbox 360 with 47% while the Wii and PSP versions make up the other 5%. When FIFA 10 launched the Xbox 360 boasted 48% with the PS3 at 46%.
Capcom’s Super Street Fighter IV debuts at number 2, placing it ahead of Ubisoft’s Just Dance which drops down one place to third with a 5% decrease in sales. Last week’s number 1, Splinter Cell: Conviction, falls three places to fourth, with sales dropping 37% despite the PC version of the game hitting shelves this week.
GTA: Episodes from Liberty City slides two spots to number 5, with sales dropping by 32% for the three week old PS3 and PC versions of the game. Nintendo occupies numbers 6 and 7 with Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports Resort, sales up 20% and 27% respectively. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 loses two places to finish eighth despite a 7% sales increase.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 slips one place to number 9, but records a 42% boost in sales due to promotions on the Xbox 360 version. God of War Collection is this week third’s new entry in the All Formats Top 10, the HD version of the first two God of War games is new at number 10.
