Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is now available in North America, and will become available at the end of the week in the UK and Europe for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii, and while that last console may not have been on your radar with regards to the new wall-running, time-bending action platform game, you may just change your mind after watching a few gameplay videos taken from the Wii version of The Forgotten Sands.
Graphically, the game is looking surprisingly sharp on the Wii, animations are smooth and it also appears as though the controls make suitable use of the WiiMote… but that’s difficult to tell from a video.
While it may not compare to the PS3 and Xbox 360 releases of the game in terms of visuals, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands on the Wii is far from a poor ‘port,’ but you can decide for yourself by watching the released gameplay videos below:
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands Wii - Platforming Gameplay
“Platforming on the Wii is a much different experience. Grasp your Wiimote and point it precisely as you climb unthinkable heights.”
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands Wii - Boss Gameplay
“A cowardly sorceress animates the Guardian, an incredibly large beast that moves slowly and falls hard.”
