A Microsoft executive in Saudi Arabia has confirmed on national television (which was captured in a clip that you can watch below) that the company’s upcoming Project Natal motion recognition technology will see an October release this year.
The exec in question, Marketing Manager of E&D at Microsoft Saudi, Syed Bilal Tariq, told KSA2 on Saudi TV:
“I do have great news to share with everybody, that Project Natal will be launched in Saudi Arabia on the same [day that it will be launched] in the world, that is going to be somewhere in October.
“We will be in a position to confirm the date after E3, which is in June. But definitely, it is going to be October 2010, and we will have it in Saudi Arabia for sure.”
Of course, this October release date for Project Natal has been rumoured and alluded to by several sources, not least of which was the Twitter tweet slip by UK celebrity Jonathon Ross, who mentioned the month as a projected release window.
