Call of Duty studio Infinity Ward has seen the departure of two more key developers, following the removal of company heads Vince Zampella and Jason West by Activision at the beginning of March.
Eagle-eyed videogame consumer site Kotaku noticed that the LinkedIn status of two of Infinity Ward’s lead developers had recently changed, revealing that lead designer Todd Alderman and lead software engineer Francesco Gigliotti had both left the studio after working there for over eight and seven years respectively.
Sources close to the studio suggest that the pair resigned, rather than having been forced out of the company like Zampella and West (who are now attempting to get the money that’s owed to them by Activision), and it’s anyone’s guess what they’ll be planning on doing next.
Is the old band set for a reunion? Surely E3 in June would be the best place to reveal a new collaboration, if one exists.
