Disney Interactive has released a new featurette video for its upcoming action racer Split/Second, this one detailing the game’s Survival mode.

Survival mode is a points based mode that can be enjoyed in single player, split-screen and online multiplayer. Players drive around a closed circuit racing against the clock, passing giant rigs that drop explosive barrels behind them – blue ones to slow you down and red to cause an instant wreck.

You’ll earn points and valuable time for each overtake, and will face sudden death when time runs out, with the player boasting the highest score winning the round.
