Namco Bandai has announced that new downloadable content for its recently released third person action shooter, Dead to Rights: Retribution, is on the way for Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers.
The GAC Pack DLC will include two new gameplay modes as well as the ‘Jack Pack’ and ‘Shadow Pack’ DLC, which were previously only available to those who pre-ordered the game. The new DLC will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network in PAL territories on the 26th of May.
‘Assault on the 87th Precinct’ is a new mission that allows players to experience the action from the GAC (Grant City Anti-Crime) enemy’s side as the GAC Sniper, Brawler and Tank characters. These three are converging upon the Grant City Police Department stronghold, hoping to contain all police offers and gain the upper tactical hand.
Meanwhile ‘Riot Control Mode’ sees Jack and Shadow fending off increasingly difficult waves of GAC forces to earn points and achievements. These will be awarded based on speed and style with players able to post high scores to international leaderboards.
The ‘Jack Pack’ and ‘Shadow Pack’ will allow players to access armour for Jack, stealth camouflage for Shadow, an action mode with explosive rounds gunplay and a noir mode with a black, white and red graphic filter.
“We’ve completely rebooted the Dead to Rights franchise to deliver a satisfying, visceral and action-packed gameplay experience for existing fans and new gamers,” said Olivier Comte, VP Marketing, sales and publishing, NAMCO BANDAI Partners SA.S.. “We’re boosting the action up another notch with an accessibly priced DLC pack filled with all new missions and game-enhancing bonus content.”
Dead to Rights: Retribution follows the adventures of protagonist Jack Slate and his crime-fighting dog Shadow as they journey through the crime underworld. You can watch the pair in action in the new launch trailer for the game or the new GAC Pack DLC screenshots below.
