After all these weeks, and some extremely tough competition, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has simply shrugged off the pretenders to the throne, including Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and the two-and-a-half-year old Halo 3, and remains the No. 1 most played Xbox 360 game on Xbox LIVE.

Who, or indeed what, can stop Modern Warfare 2 now? It’s looking like only the full release of Halo: Reach (it’s doubtful that the multiplayer beta would be able to pull enough numbers) at the end of the year will be able to upset this ‘King of LIVE.’

The top selling Xbox LIVE Arcade title this week is the newly released Final Fight: Double Impact, followed by games for Game Room at No. 2 and Toy Soldiers at No. 3.

As for best selling Xbox Indie Games, an old favourite, I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES!!!1, shows up at No. 1, while Yet Another Zombie Defense settles in at No. 2 and Baby Maker Extreme sits at No. 3.
