An official, formal announcement has been by made by Capcom regarding the existence of the 2D-perspective action platform game, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, with a trailer, information and a batch of screenshots in tow to prove it.
Here’s the story setup for the game:
“Nathan Spencer returns as the daring elite soldier equipped with special bionic abilities. Spencer will have to face his greatest challenge yet as General Sabio, a new technologically sophisticated foe, is on the brink of launching a deadly missile attack.”
Spencer will have access to his trademark bionic grappling hook tool to grab, swing and leap his way through the world, while the ability to actually jump this time around (as well as the addition of a “major makeover” for Spencer’s bionic arm) is sure to add an extra layer of strategy and complexity to proceedings.
Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2 is set to release on the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE in the first quarter of 2011.
