Ubisoft must be pretty pleased with the results of Chart Track’s UK Software Sales Chart this week, as not only is the Wii-exclusive title Just Dance still going strong at No. 2, but the publisher’s newly released action stealth game, Splinter Cell: Conviction, now holds the No. 1 spot on the chart.

This is the first time that games from Ubisoft have ever occupied both the No. 1 and No. 2 slots on the UK sales chart, and the first time that the company has ever occupied the No. 1 position on the chart two weeks in a row with two different titles. Quite a feat!

The third spot on the UK sales chart this week is taken up by another debut title, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City, after it was released on both the PS3 and PC last week.

The release of these new titles has resulted in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 sliding down the chart from No. 2 to No. 4 this week, while Wii Fit Plus steps up one place to No. 5, and Just Cause 2 slips to No. 6 from No. 3 last week.

Wii Sports Resort takes a walk down to No. 7 from No. 5, Pokemon SoulSilver moves down only one place to No. 8, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 falls to No. 9 from No. 4 last week, and Fifa 10 holds steady at No. 10, after shifting down from No. 8.
