Ubisoft’s Just Dance has retained the No. 1 spot on Chart Track’s UK Software Sales Chart for the second week in a row, which means the Wii title has clocked up a total of four weeks at the top of the UK’s sales listing – more than any publisher this year, including Nintendo, EA, Sony and Square Enix.
Sales of Just Dance fell by only 7% since the week previous, which is the lowest drop out of all of the top twenty titles, remaining the biggest selling Wii title every week this year (with the exception of week one where Wii Fit Plus held that honour). Just Dance is also the third biggest selling Wii title from a third party publisher in the UK ever, behind SEGA’s Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, and Take 2’s Carnival Funfair Games.
As for the other titles on the chart this week, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (sales down 28%) stepped up to No. 2 from No. 3 last week, swapping places with Just Cause 2 (sales down 51%) in the process, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (sales down 46%) is a non-mover at No. 4.
Wii Sports Resort (sales down 25%) moves up one place to No. 5, Wii Fit Plus (sales down 8%) leaps up from No. 9 to No. 6 this week, while Pokemon SoulSilver (sales down 42%) slips down to No. 7 from No. 5.
Fifa 10 doesn’t move an inch at No. 8, Pokemon HeartGold (sales down 39%) slides to No. 9 from No. 7 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii (sales down 37%) is yet another non-mover at No. 10.
