Megan Fox, invader of dreams and star of Transformers, has turned down the coveted role of Lara Croft for the next Tomb Raider movie. According to reports she said no to the duel pistols and tight shorts because she doesn’t want to encourage any more comparisons to the film’s original star, Angelina Jolie.
The 23 year old Fox shot to fame when she starred beside Shia LaBeouf in the 2007 Transformers film, but has since fiercely been fighting comparisons with Jolie. “”I am a brunette with tattoos, I curse and I have made mention of sex before,” she told the press last year. “I joked about it which people find outrageous so they want to constantly compare that to her.”
Apparently Fox loves the character but not enough to run the risk of being compared to Jolie. The search for the new Ms Croft continues.
