Last week Crystal Dynamics announced that they were hard at work on a new adventure for the popular dame Lara Croft. The new entry is titled Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and will be available later this year as a digital download.

The developer has since released a batch of new screenshots for the game, which promises to be “something completely new and very different to what people might be expecting.”

Before you absorb the remainder of the new screenshots below, you might be interested to know that the game will include a “multiplayer option and sport a fixed camera perspective.” Apparently Crystal Dynamics hired a lead designer with multiplayer maps expertise last year to hone the co-op part of the game.

Crystal Dynamics also confirmed that they are working on two new projects, one of which we know is Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and the second title is a continuation of the Tomb Raider series, currently in production.
