Chris Brown from Roadrunner Records has posted on the US PlayStation Blog to announce that the God of War III ‘Blood & Metal’ EP is now out and available, which you can grab for a measly $1.99 through Shockhound over here.
While you’re deliberating that decision, you can watch the band Trivium in action as they perform the song ‘Shattering the Skies Above’ in a cool, energetic, behind-the-scenes style music video:
Trivium’s singer Matt Heafy says of the song: “Metal is that imagery, metal is that grandiose thing, that violent energy that the game creates. Our song is inspired by the excitement of being involved with God Of War III and it’s inspired by the energy of the game.”
If you needed reminding, God of War III, the game, releases over the week of March 16th, and if you needed any further reminding about its ‘Awesome Potential,’ you can browse through El33tonline’s previous coverage of God of War III for tons of screenshots, videos and extra information.

Comments:
I listened to some of the audio samples for each of the six tracks on Amazon. The music is not the best on the world, but not the worst either. I'll have a chance to check out the rest of it when I pick up the Ultimate Edition in a couple of weeks ;)
The 'Shattering the Skies Above' track (from the video above) is pretty cool, but pretty standard fair if you're into the genre. Like you said, good, but not earth-shatteringly so.
I shan't be buying the album, though. ;)
