Update Nintendo has since announced that Jam with the Band has been postponed internationally and will now be released in South Africa later this year. End of Update
At the recent launch of the DSi XL in Johannesburg, South Africa last week, Core Gaming (distributors of Nintendo in South Africa) revealed a few of the titles that we can expect to see hitting shelves across South Africa in the very near future.
Tucked away amongst the big names (including Super Mario Galaxy 2, Monster Hunter Tri, Metroid: Other M and Sin & Punishment 2) was a title that some may not know that much about while others have been looking forward to it for years.
That title was none other than Jam with the Band, which Core Gaming announced would be available across South Africa in the very near future, the 21st of May to be exact. Jam with the Band is a popular rhythm game known as Daigasso! Band Brothers in Japan, a game that requires players to press buttons in time with the music. It remains unclear at present whether Jam with the Band will be the English version of the original game or the sequel, Daigasso! Band Brothers DX. However, watch this space for more updates soon.
El33tonline thoroughly enjoyed Daigasso! Band Brothers, being the rhythm lovers that we are, and you can read our review of the game to see what musical delights you can look forward to when the game hits South African shelves this May.

Comments:
I am super-excited if this is really coming! The original game came out as a launch title for the DS in Japan, so it's been a long time coming - so long that I'll only believe it when i see it :).
