Doom II still “in the cards” for an XBLA release
After receiving an interesting reader question regarding the future of an Xbox LIVE Arcade version of id Software’s classic Doom II, videogame consumer site Destructoid took the query straight to the top: Bethesda’s VP of Public Relations and Marketing, Pete Hines.
Why Bethesda? Well, after the whole Zenimax/Bethesda/id Sofware acquisition, this is the group that would publish the game on Xbox LIVE if it were ever to release.
So what did Hines have to say about the possibility of Doom II appearing on Xbox LIVE Arcade in the future?
“It’s still in the cards,” said Hines. “Just can’t give you a date just yet when it will be out.”
The clue was in the header.
