Bioware sticks a countdown clock on all of its sites, but what does it mean?

Update I’ve just noticed that the countdown clocks on the Dragon Age and Mass Effect sites have slightly more time remaining on them than the main Bioware site. Is this significant, or are they simply not synced correctly? End of Update

Bioware LogoFollowing in the footsteps of its cooler Japanese cousins, Bioware has put up a countdown clock on its main website, as well as its Mass Effect and Dragon Age sites.

The clock is ticking down until the afternoon of March 29th (this coming Monday), and the fact that the timer appears on the developer’s site, as well as those of both of its current hot properties, means that the announcement (if it is indeed counting down towards an announcement of some kind), could be about almost anything.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 appearing on the PS3? A new Dragon Age expansion, or Dragon Age 2 announcement? Mass Effect 3? A beta for the developer’s The Old Republic massively multiplayer online RPG?

If Bioware is using a clock to count down to… something, it must be something of magnitude, so put your thinking caps on and tell us what you think Bioware might announce on Monday.

Please... Oh please, let it be an announcement for the release of Mass Effect 3. My fingers are crossed!

You can uncross your fingers now GrimOracle - Mass Effect 3 is coming!

we all knew ME3 is coming... i am hoping the countdown will be for either a firm date for ME3, or a firm date for Old Republic :) either way, if its Bioware, i want it!
