PS3 fans (and gaming fans in general) in Cape Town, listen up, because you need to read this important reminder about an upcoming PS3 LAN and competition event taking place in your city this weekend!

From the evening of March 6th until the morning of March 7th, you’ll be able to take part in Fifa 10 and Guitar Hero 5 competitions, get in on some Guitar Hero 5 band jam sessions, see DJ Hero in action, and stand a chance to win some prizes, all while bearing witness to some high-level Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 competitive play!

WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?

Join us at our 7th Cape Town PS3 LAN and the first for 2010, where we’ll be hosting our Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, FIFA 10 and Guitar Hero 5 competitions for the best players in Cape Town to show their skills and prove who’s the best of the best.

There will be awesome prizes up for grabs, band jam sessions in Guitar Hero 5, see the new DJ Hero game in motion, watch Cape Town’s best war vet’s prove their skills in the VIP Call of Duty: MW2 competition… there’s no shortage of awesome at the PS3 LAN 7. This event t is open to all gamers; just bring yourselves and your friends and we provide the rest!

WHAT’S THE SETUP?

The LAN starts at 6:30 PM and will run till 02:00 AM. The FIFA 10 and Guitar Hero 5 competitions will start at 8:30 PM sharp; please arrive between 7PM and 8PM for registration into the competitions.

You may enter both FIFA and GH competitions if you wish; we will then arrange your matches such that your rounds will not clash. Before the competitions start, you will be able to play friendly match-ups/practices in FIFA or single/band play sessions in Guitar Hero 5.

AS WELL AS

You may also bring your PS3, 360 or Wii games along with you; TGX will be there for pre-owned game trades, or trade-ins for points towards new/pre-owned purchases from their online store.

Details and registrations will be provide in a quick and easy process while you’re at the LAN, TGX will handle the rest for you :-)

Also watch out for lucky draws on the night for spot prizes; your entry stub may be the lucky one!
