Square Enix has announced that the upcoming beta test for Final Fantasy XIV, the publisher’s next massively multiplayer online RPG (MMORPG), will begin this month, starting with a closed beta seeded with a selection of invited players.
The Final Fantasy XIV closed beta will be PC-only, and while invited players will, at first, be the only ones given access, Square Enix has hinted that those of you who haven’t yet received an invitation will be given an opportunity to participate in the future:
“Those who were not selected in this drawing, fear not,” read an announcement, “for there will be other opportunities to come. Be sure to stay tuned!”
The Final Fantasy XIV closed beta will begin on March 11th.
