Calling all game developers - and those simply interested in the world of videogame creation - in the Durban area!
This Saturday, on March 6th Twenty-Ten, you’ll have the opportunity to attend a genuine DevLAN with genuine game developers (enthusiast and pro alike), meet with like-minded people, perhaps make a small game or two, and share ideas and expand your knowledge on the exciting topic of ‘game development.’
For the “What, Where and When,” head on down below, and also be sure to visit the original Game.Dev forum thread, where you can confirm your presence and/or interest in the gathering, and ask further questions about the meet-up:
March 2010 Durban DevLAN
When:
- Saturday 6th March 9.30am - 5pm
Where:
- CTI
- 59 Adelaide Tambo Drive (old Kensington Drive)
- Durban North
What to bring:
“A computer/laptop to dev on, try to have your favorite dev environment loaded and ready to go.
“A number of food places are within walking distance otherwise you’ll need to bring your own food.”
What to expect:
“The day is going to pretty much be a bunch of like-minded individuals getting together, making games, sharing ideas and having fun. I’ll announce a theme in the morning and then the rest of the day will be spent making something around the theme.”

Come on all you Durbanites, make us proud!
This looks like fun. I am not a game developer but I'd like to come check it out anyway. (I am an Oracle developer though so I'm not a total n00b). Am I invited :)
Cheers,
Russell
