After releasing its fiscal third quarter results recently, EA revealed its intended release line-up for the upcoming year and beyond, with mentions going to a bevy of sequels, a console version of The Sims 3, and that mystery shooter from Epic Games and its subsidiary, People Can Fly.
According to EA, the follow-up to the previously PC-exclusive Crysis series of shooters, Crysis 2, is expected to release in the last (calendar) quarter of this year, and will be available for both consoles and PC, while ‘The Sims 3 on Console Title’ (which is how EA is currently referring to it) and a new Need For Speed title are also expected to drop during this period.
In the first quarter of next year (2011), however, Dead Space 2 is expected to release for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 (no PC version mentioned), while a new Dragon Age title has been refer to for PC, consoles and handhelds, also releasing during the first three months of next year.
Also expected in the next fiscal year (April 2010 to March 2011) is Epic and People Can Fly’s mysterious ‘shooter’ title, which is set to be published under EA’s EA Partners label.
