Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie for the DS has debuted at number 1 on the Media Create Japanese software chart with a whopping 906 000 copies.

Resonance of Fate for the PS3 is also new at number 2 with 118 000 copies while the Xbox 360 version debuts a little lower at number 8 with 27 000 copies. New Super Mario Bros. Wii drops two places to number 3 with 84 000 copies while Ar Tonelico III for the PS3 enters the fray at number 4 with 82 000 copies.

Friend Collection and Wii Fit Plus are non-movers this week, selling 45 000 and 33 000 copies respectively to earn fifth and sixth. Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep slips three spots to number 7 with 30 000 copies while Valkyria Chronicles 2 plummets seven places to number 9 with 24 000 copies. MAG for the PS3 is this week’s third new PS3 entry, debuting at number 10 with 19 000 copies.

Wii Sports Resort tumbles out of the Top 10, (down two places to number 11), as does Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (down four to number 12), Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s portable (last week’s number 3 to number 13), Inazuma Eleven 2: Threat of the Invaders (dropping four to number 14) and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles (last week’s number 7 to 16).
