EA and DICE have announced that two new multiplayer maps for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be unlocked on the 2nd of March in the US (launch day) and on the 5th of March in the UK.

The map pack features the Laguna Alta map, playable in Conquest mode, and the Nelson Bay map, playable in Rush mode, and brings the total number of multiplayer maps to 10. DICE plans to release another map pack later in March at no charge. This will enable players to test the Arica Harbor Map in Conquest Mode and the Laguna Presa map in Rush mode. Players will be able to unlock the content pack by inputting a VIP code which will be included in the box. PC players will be able to get their hands on the content as a game update, but players who don’t get the code can purchase one for $15 via the in-game store.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 launches across North America on the 2nd of March for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, with the UK following on the 5th of March.
