If you’re into real-time strategy games on an incredibly massive scale, then Supreme Commander 2 is definitely the game for you, and if you’ve been itching to get your hands on this title you’re now able to scratch that itch (at least a little) with the release of a PC demo for the game through Steam.
The demo for Supreme Commander 2 will give you access to two levels from the tutorial of the game, as well as two missions from the United Earth Federation (UEF) faction, which forms one part of the Colonial Defense Coalition:
Demo Mission 1: Strike While Cold
“The Cybran invasion force is on the run. Sensors have picked up a number of operational Cybran Mass Extractors off the coast of the Weddell Strait. Players will need to explore the islands in the strait and successfully destroy the extractors.
“Features: Naval Battle, Kraken Experimental.”
Demo Mission 2: Titans of Industry
”After refusing orders and refusing to surrender their Armored Command Unit, players are now public enemy #1 in the UEF. Colonel Rodgers has targeted New Cathedral, a colony where the players’ wife and child reside – they will need to take the most direct route to defend the colony. Unfortunately, that means traveling through the ruins of the Boolon Industrial Complex.
“Features: Air and Land Battle, Fatboy 2 Experimental.”
You can grab the Supreme Commander 2 demo from Steam now over here (note: you’ll need a Steam account, as well as the Steam client, to download the demo).
The full version of Supreme Commander 2 will release on PC through Steam on March 2nd, North America gets it at retail on the same day, while the UK and Europe gets it at retail on March 5th.
