SNK Playmore has announced the publisher’s intention to enter the fighting game arena once more, and release another entry to the King of Fighters franchise with The King of Fighters XIII.
While details on the game on thin on the ground at the moment, what is known is that the fighter will run on Taito’s Taito X2 arcade board, as used by games such as The King of Fighters XII, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift, and Street Fighter IV.
There’s been no official word yet on a home console release for The King of Fighters XIII, but if such a release were to occur, it would likely follow the release pattern of King of Fighters XII and launch either soon after the arcade release, or in conjunction with it.
