LucasArts has proudly announced that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the company’s 2008 action adventure game, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, has sold an astounding 7 million units since launch.
This news comes in the wake of the release of a new set of downloadable content (DLC) for the game on the PlayStation Network last week, while Xbox LIVE will see the release of the same DLC today (February 23rd).
The new DLC, the Hoth Mission Pack (previously only available with the purchase of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed – Ultimate Sith Edition), sees the secret apprentice Starkiller journey to Hoth to duel with Luke Skywalker, after a drastic turn of events ‘at home.’
Additionally, it was revealed late last year via the Spike VGA Awards debut trailer that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is set to release later this year on PS3, Xbox 360, PSP, DS and Wii.

Comments:
Star Wars The Force Unleashed was a great game because you were a total villain who gains redemption. It also bridges the gap of how Star Wars Episode three transitions to Star Wars Episode four. A sequel is an interesting idea because the comic book did not have a sequel so this is purely Lucas Arts; I wonder what the time period will be and what more could there be for the secret apprentice. :)
