We interrupt your daily internet browsing for this important service announcement:

According to a Twitter tweet by Sony Santa Monica’s Director of Technology, Christer Ericson, the upcoming game industry devastating action game God of War III will not, I repeat, will not require a PlayStation 3 hard drive install, and will only require a measly 5 MB of space on the ‘ole HDD for save games.

From Ericson’s status update:

“God of War 3 does NOT do a HD install. The 5MB listed on box back is for save game only.”

Thank goodness for that. I’ve only got a 60 GB drive and I don’t know how many more games I can fit on there.

Other important breaking information related to God of War III and the kinds of data it’s able to consume is that the US version of the game will take up a whopping 35 GB of data on a Blu-Ray disc, while the European version (due to the presence of nine different languages) will take up over 40 GB on a single disc.

For this and other extremely important God of War III information, you can browse El33tonline’s previous coverage of the title for tons of amazing screenshots and fantastic videos.

Will the god of war be come on Xbox360?

Oliver

That would be the biggest 'breaking news' of all, wouldn't it?

No, I'm afraid that is one piece of news that will never be reported. God of War will not be coming to Xbox 360.

Dude, you need to upgrade your hard drive. I recently bought a 320GB for $60. It's fairly simple to replace the drive too.

I'm only ever playing a couple games at once anyway, so I just delete the installs of whatever I'm not playing, added to the fact that I don't have access (in this country.. or the means, with proper bandwidth...) to any services that allow me to stream and save enormous movies and TV shows, so for now I'm good. ;)

But dang, $60 sounds good!
