Assassin’s Creed II Bonfire of the Vanities DLC detailed, plus new trailer

Ubisoft has released an impressive trailer for the new Assassin’s Creed II downloadable content, Bonfire of the Vanities, featuring gameplay footage from the content and setting the scene for the new mission.

Bonfire of the Vanities is available today for the Xbox 360 and PS3 at a cost of £3.19 or 320 MS Points. You can expect to pay £5.49 or 520 MS Points for the DLC plus three Templar Secret Locations. You have to own a copy of the game and have a minimum of 1GB memory available for each DLC.

Bonfire of the Vanities sees Ezio working with Machiavelli to free Florence from the evil plans of the mad monk Savonarola by targeting influential citizens under his control. Players can look forward to battling through more than ten new memories, discovering a new district of Florence and testing out Ezio’s new move, the spring jump, all in an effort to reclaim the Apple of Eden.

A detailed description of the three Templar secret locations follows:

  • Palazzo Medici – Located in Florence, the player gets to explore the house of the Medici family. It is located in the San Marco district of Florence.

  • Santa Maria dei Frari– Located in Venice, in the San Polo district, the player gets to explore this renowned church built in the XIIIth century.

  • Arsenal Shipyard – Venice was known for its Arsenal, a shipyard that was settled in the eastern part of the city. The last Templars’ Lair is located there, and lets the player explore the Drydocks.
