N64 gamers from back in the day will fondly remember Perfect Dark, not only for the singleplayer campaign but probably mostly for the split-screen multiplayer frag-fests, blurry textures and low polygon models.
Rare and Microsoft have been busy lately trying to resurrect this classic first-person shooter from the ‘good old days’ for Xbox 360 gamers by gutting the assets and replacing them with higher quality textures, models and sounds, as well as bringing the title up to date with online capabilities and Xbox LIVE functionality.
A little further below, you can catch a few good glimpses (or one long extended stare) at what could very well be the first publicly released in-game footage of this new version of Perfect Dark (releasing on Xbox LIVE Marketplace this March for $10), which is looking incredibly sharp indeed:
